Welcome to my design portfolio
The Motor-Aid Flask is designed to allow people with motor difficulties to have a drinking device that they could use independently whilst maintaining dignity and style. The flask has a range of features that allow for easy use whilst maintaining a low profile and modern look.
The Motor-Aid Flask includes a spill-proof lid that the user can drink from without having difficulty removing a lid. The user can simply put their lip to the drinking area which disturbs the silicone flap and breaks the seal for drinking.
The handles are made using a series of 3D printed segments with ball joints. Allowing the handles to move around and mould into the shape of the users hands for added grip. They were designed to be large and easy to grip with two hands to give the user as much stability as possible.
This project was done for my A-Level product design course and unfortunately due to Covid-19 I was unable to finish making this product.
With more time working on this I would have hoped to create a few working prototypes and test the design with my design partner. With further feedback and development I could improve functionality of the product.
