Convert your waste vapes into a functional portable charger capable of recharging your phone with 1500mAh of battery
Clip-in conversion
Follow a set of 6 simple steps to disassemble a used vape and simply clip the battery into the terminal. The battery pack then slots back into the casing becoming an instant rechargeable battery pack.

With up to 1.3 million single-use vapes being thrown away each week, make a statement against waste with a functional kit designed to teach users the harmful contents of these short-life products.
The design for the clip-in battery frame was printed in three parts, mainly so that I was able to get good quality prints but also so that I could add the electronic components such as the PCB and the metal plates to connect to the battery. I also included an attachment rail in the end cap to hold the PCB securely into position.
From the beginning of this project I se out to repurpose these products to be not only functional but also high quality, aesthetic products that people will want to continue using.
With further development I would have hoped to expand the product range and try making an alternative conversion kit or different shaped vape products and with different functions such as a torch.
